Women have many times complained that their strapless bras do not fit them correctly and that is why they have never gone back to trying them. Many times this is not because the strapless bras are made incorrectly, but it is because the bra size measurements are incorrect for the size that you NEED. While there are so many people that claim to be experts in the field of bra size measurements and each one constantly puts down the other, there is only one real expert in this field and that is yourself and there is only one true method of determining bra sizes and that is what fits you correctly, regardless of the numbers involved.
While we are on the subject of bra size measurements, the common method is simply done as follows: First measure under the breasts using a tape measure and get the rib cage measurement. Round off fractions to the next whole number. This is the rib cage number. Add 4 to this number if it is even or 5 to this number if it is odd. This is the band size.Next take a full size measurement using a tape measure over the nipples. Subtract the band size number from the full size number. If the difference is 1, then the cup size is A. If the difference is 2 then the cup size is B and so on. Thus if your rib cage number is 34, your band size number becomes 38; now if the full size number is 40, then your cup size becomes B and your bra size becomes 38B.
Again, this does not mean that a 38B will fit you perfectly; it may not. This is simply a starting point after which you determine your exact size by trial and error. Additionally, all these measurements start having too many errors once the size goes past to the really larger sizes. So much so for the science in bra size measurements!
