There is a big interest in wearing black strapless bra in recent times, because women consider it to be sexy and appealing. Of course any strapless bra is a lot more appealing than the traditional kinds. Novelty always sells and no one wants to stay with the same old, same old.

However, when it comes to black strapless bras, one needs to be sure that it goes well with the dress that you are wearing. After all the undergarment is supposed to be complimentary to the over garment and not overpower the main dress. It is like the opening act being more overpowering than the main act on stage. That is not well received by the audience.

Hence, if the color of the dress you are wearing is black, red, dark green or dark purple, then a black strapless bra would go well. If the colors are more spring like such as light yellow, light green, light blue, light teal or light tan, then black may not necessarily be a good choice. One exception to this is wearing a black strapless bra with a white dress. For some reason, even though the colors clash, the combination becomes appealing, especially if the accessories such as wrist bands or necklaces compliment this contrasted setting.
