Thus if your rib cage number is 34, your band size number becomes 38; now if the full size number is 40, then your cup size becomes B and your bra size becomes 38B.

Again, this does not mean that a 38B will fit you perfectly; it may not. This is simply a starting point after which you determine your exact size by trial and error. Additionally, all these measurements start having too many errors once the size goes past to the really larger sizes. So much so for the science in bra size measurements!
